We are looking for an engaging, empathetic and experienced HR professional to deliver generalist HR Management support for our client based in the city fringe, Auckland. This role sits as part of the leadership team and works across a portfolio of subsidiary businesses. You will be responsible for meeting with the various businesses and building trust and confidence as well as advising on all practical HR and Employment Relations. This is a sole charge, autonomous HR role where you are responsible for the development and delivery of the HR strategy and support to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR advice, guidance, and support to the portfolio
  • Manage and maintain the HRIS system
  • Manage the full employee life cycle from recruitment, onboarding, and induction
  • Organisational planning and development
  • Managing all ER requirements
  • Learning and Development (employee pathways, personal development plans, internal mentoring and coaching)
  • Oversee Health and Safety requirements

What we are looking for:

  • A qualified HR generalist ideally with experience working in medium/large businesses
  • Qualified with a degree in Business, Human Resources or Commerce.
  • Actively promotes a strong family/values-based culture
  • Strong EQ (highly empathetic is an industry requirement)
  • Have a genuine desire and commitment to learn and develop as an HR practitioner
  • Experience with ER investigation/disciplinary/termination settlement/restructure and change
  • End to end HR Onboarding and Recruitment expertise
